About Unrushing
We were never meant to move this fast.
Unrushing is a quiet place to think about living slowly — on purpose. A letter, an essay, a small permission to put things down for a while.
A note from the author
Why I keep writing here.
I started Unrushing because I got tired of the two options men’s content seemed to offer: grind harder, or care about nothing but their crazy workouts.
I wanted something in between – a place for men and women, (why not) who want to be healthier, calmer, more curious, and better dressed, without turning any of it into a competition.
I’m not a yoga teacher, a stylist, or a travel writer. I’m just someone trying to live a bit more intentionally, and writing down what I learn along the way – the books that actually changed something, the yoga practice that started because I genuinely couldn’t touch my toes, the slow process of figuring out what “well dressed” means when you’re not chasing brands.
If any of that sounds like you, welcome. Unrushing isn’t about having it figured out. It’s about slowing down enough to figure it out at all.
This began the way most slow things do — quietly, and a little by accident. A single note written to no one in particular, on a morning that refused to be hurried.
We write about the ordinary hours: the second cup of coffee, the walk with no destination, the meal made from scratch because the making is the point. Not productivity. Not optimization. Just attention, paid slowly, to the life already in front of you.
There is no schedule here you must keep, no streak to maintain. Read one essay a season if that is your pace. The words will wait for you. That, more than anything, is what Unrushing is for.
Read at your own pace.
New essays arrive when they are ready, and not a moment sooner. Wander the archive, or begin wherever you like.
